How do I fix the error "unable to connect to TrueShip's servers" when I open ReadyShipper Pro?

If you are receiving the following error message when you open ReadyShipper Pro, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Close any open instances of ReadyShipper Pro.
  2. Verify there is an active internet connection on the computer you have ReadyShipper Pro installed on.
  3. Use one of the following links to update to the latest version of Java for your operating system:
    1. Windows 7-10: Download Java 8 Update 241 (32-bit Offline Installer)


      i. Run the downloaded installer file. If the installer prompts to remove older versions of Java, please click the  Uninstall button.

  Note: If you are importing your orders via ODBC, please contact us before updating your Java at 877-818-7447 ext 2.

                 b.macOS: Download ReadyShipper v7.6.8 Java Update


                    i. Extract the downloaded zip file. Drag the ReadyShipper icon from your Downloads                             folder into your Applications folder and replace the existing application when                                       prompted.


                     ii. Double click the ReadyShipper icon in your Applications folder.


                     iii. macOS may open a dialog notifying you that you cannot open the Application                                   because it was not downloaded from the App Store. If this is the case, open System                             Preferences and double click the Security & Privacy icon. On the bottom of the                                     General Tab, click the Open Anyway button.

Note: ReadyShipper Pro is not yet compatible with macOS 15 Catalina.

         4. Open ReadyShipper Pro, you should now be able to connect. If you are still                                              experiencing any issues, please contact support at 877-818-7447 ext 2.
