How do I enable Shipsurance?

Shipsurance can be enabled in ReadyCloud to automatically insure qualifying shipments based on rules you define.

1. In ReadyCloud, open the App Store and install Shipsurance.
2. Once installed, select Shipsurance from the left-side menu.
3. Under the Settings tab, review and configure your basic insurance settings, including:
   • Whether to use the item description when a box description is empty
   • Whether to use the order subtotal as the insured value
   • Whether to include shipping and handling in the insured value
   • The contact and payment information used for claims
4. Click Save once your settings are configured.
5. Open the Insurance Rules tab to create rules that determine which shipments should be insured.
6. Insurance rules can be based on:
   • A specific ReadyCloud Order View
   • A minimum order value
   • A maximum order value
   • A specific carrier, if needed
7. Enable the rule once the configuration is complete.

Note: Orders must have an insured value available in order for Shipsurance to apply coverage. This is especially important for ecommerce orders, where the insured value is typically based on the order or item value.

You can also use the File a Claim tab within Shipsurance if you need to submit a claim for an insured shipment.
